The shop Chino drivers trust for tires, wheels, and full auto repair
Chino is a working town. Families commuting up the 71 to jobs in Ontario and the rest of the Inland Empire, contractors and tradespeople running trucks through the 60, ag and dairy operators still working land south of Pine Ave, and a growing wave of new families moving into The Preserve and College Park — all of them put real miles and real wear on their vehicles. Tires don't last as long here as the sticker promises, brakes get pushed hard on the long downhill stretches into the valley, and suspensions take a beating on construction-heavy roads.
That's the work we do. Comtires has been the family-owned shop on Holt Blvd in Ontario since 2011, and a meaningful share of our customers drive in from Chino — Old Town, Chino Town Center, the Spectrum, and the newer neighborhoods south of the 60. We service everything from daily commuters and family SUVs to work trucks, lifted off-roaders, and small commercial fleets.
The roads around Chino are harder on a vehicle than the freeway map suggests. The 71 and the 60 carry commuters north and west every morning, Euclid and Central run the length of town with a light at nearly every block, and the dairy and farm roads south of Pine Ave are still working surfaces, rough enough to knock a front end out of alignment long before the driver feels a pull.
A lot of Chino vehicles also work for a living. Contractors in three-quarter-ton pickups, landscape and feed trucks running loaded all week, and fleet vans moving between the warehouses on the south side. Loaded weight is what wears brakes and rear suspension first, so those are the parts we look at hardest on a Chino truck, whatever the customer came in for.
